Raising the Roof Towards a Cleaner Energy Future

In the words of the great Nelson Mandela, “remember to celebrate milestones as you prepare for the road ahead."

Eagle LNG is celebrating a major milestone on our road ahead! On Tuesday, January 10, 2017, the roof of Eagle LNG’s liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage tank in Maxville, Florida was raised, which is a meaningful step in the construction of any LNG facility. The roof was lifted into place using air pressure that floated it to its permanent position, a procedure that Matrix has perfected over decades of tank design and construction.

When Eagle LNG was founded in 2013 we had a vision: to be recognized as the national leader in micro-liquefaction and unlock the potential of LNG, a cleaner and more economical fuel in the high-horsepower engine market. The road ahead is not void of obstacles, but our passion, dedication and unwavering commitment to our customers, partners, environment and economy is coming to fruition. Today I am incredibly proud to share with you this video. The Maxville LNG facility represents the beginning of a new industry and puts the city of Jacksonville in a leadership position. New jobs are being created and we are facilitating the use of our clean and abundant “made-in-America” natural gas helping companies across the globe meet environmental regulations. We believe it is a win-win-win proposition.

I am also very delighted with the team we have built at Eagle LNG and the key partnerships we have forged in order to succeed. I would like to highlight Matrix who built the tank, Saulsbury who is the EPC on the project, and last but certainly not least Crowley Maritime, whose leadership in adopting LNG for the maritime sector is the catalyst for this project.

I hope you enjoy watching the video as much as we enjoyed making it.
